Brian Yang is a bicoastal actor and producer who splits his time between Los Angeles and New York City. Though he now calls LA home, his 12 years in NYC left a mark—he still carries his MTA card in his wallet. Brian studied biology and theater at UC Berkeley before heading east for grad school, a journey that unexpectedly landed him on Wall Street (not as a banker, though).
While in New York, Brian immersed himself in the arts, appearing in numerous print campaigns, indie films, off-off-Broadway productions, and TV commercials—back when it wasn’t uncommon to hit three or four castings a day. His breakout came with a recurring role on Hawaii 5-0, prompting his move west.
This season, Brian has booked roles on 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Rookie, and Law & Order. Behind the camera, he recently produced A Great Divide (@agreatdivide), starring Ken Jeong and Miya Cech, now available on Amazon and AppleTV.
When he’s not acting or producing, Brian is a proud dad to two young daughters who keep him busy as their personal chauffeur, shuttling them between ballet and basketball practices.
